Subtle Scars
-Muskan Gambhir
What is a Scar?
An unhealed mark left on the skin?
Or maybe an incomplete ending dig deeper in your wretched heart?
A scar can undoubtedly be physical or rather mental and emotional too.
I won't ask you to drench in the moment and imagine about the trauma it causes,
because little do I know, every human,
somewhere down the lane experiences a pain,
an unleashed moment which turns into a trend mark on the skin,
to curse you of your deed every time.
But ain't you tired of waiting for the light to enter through the cracks on your skin?
Isn't it getting catastrophic inside?
Spare your soul and come out from your oblivion,
move out from your corpse,
let's drift to your nirvana to recall,
that reeled period, a beefed ruptured story.
Is it still dark over there?
Old and painful?
Can't find a door out from the black?

Here is a candle, light your darkness on to it.
Yes, the first step out from your pain is to get comfortable in it.
Don't fear, stand there holding on to your valor.
Don't bleed don't frown, numb out and let your pain soothe you.
The inner light is yout spell of art.
Your soul will crib, shout and the pain will drip out
from the cuts on your skin where you have been trapped in bits for years.

Take your time, I know you have been cribbing and stifling inside.
But once it's done, soon when the weight of fetters unhitch your soul,
get back to life and stand up again.
Now shine. Yes, shine as much as you can.
Gleam and beam owing your rotted scars.
And if people ask you for what's that mark,
tell them it's from where your mettle trails.
